Mounting box for parking heater

Stainless steel mounting box designed for those who can not avoid installation under the floor. After removing the cover, the hot air connections are freely accessible, and in case of damage, almost any problem can be repaired from above without removing the heater. The cable is routed through a cable grommet directly toward the hot air side. The box can be connected to a 90° bracket, so you can first screw the bracket to the car, and then conveniently screw the box and the heater . In some cases this can be useful, in others the box can be mounted directly. Dedicated to 4kW heaters Autoterm, Webasto, Eberspaecher.

A few words about the floor installation

There is absolutely no guarantee against moisture damage, and it is very easy to recognize it. So the important thing with such an installation is, first of all, to find a sensible place for heating. Another important thing , which is usually a much bigger problem, is the routing of supply and warm air from/to the living area. Ideally, this should not be done just before and after the heater with two 90° angles, because otherwise the flow resistance is terribly high and you directly lose half of the efficiency. Parking heaters themselves recognize insufficient air flow and reduce power. The parking heater will then work, but with reduced power, and therefore guaranteed to burn out very quickly - no possibility of full load, no free combustion of the combustion chamber!
