Control
The HS2000E comes standard with a solid-state electronic thermostat that automatically switches the unit on and off to maintain the desired temperature. When the room temperature drops below the selected level, the Heatsource will automatically ignite and run until the cabin reaches the selected temperature.

Easy to install
The simple and intuitive controls make it easy to switch between gas and electric modes, and continuous monitoring of the heater allows for quick and easy system diagnostics. The ability to select the power level of the electric supply helps prevent overloading your available electrical system.

Gas Efficiency
With forced air combustion and a two-stage stainless steel heat exchanger, the HS2000E is an efficient and clean way to heat your vehicle or boat. The air needed for combustion is drawn from outside your caravan or boat, mixed with gas, and then automatically ignited. This heats up the large surface area of the heat exchanger. The Heatsource unit is completely sealed, and all exhaust gases are vented outside through a stainless steel flue pipe with a 22mm internal diameter. To improve efficiency, the air inside the cabin is usually recirculated, which is more efficient than using cold air from outside. The HS series heaters are also very energy-efficient, using less than 1.7 amps of current on gas operation and 2.2 amps when running on mains electricity.

Mains Electric
For those using a mains power connection, there's the option to use a powerful heating element with an efficient heat exchanger built in. You can choose from three power settings: 500W, 1 kW, or 2 kW, with a maximum current draw of 9 amps. The fan speed adjusts to match each power level for maximum efficiency, and at the lowest 500W setting, it reduces motor and air noise, making it ideal for nighttime use. The heater comes with a power cable and a molded three-pin plug.

Safety
Heatsource heaters comply with the latest European safety and electromagnetic compatibility standards. Intelligent electronics continuously monitor key parameters such as the flame, case temperature, airflow, gas solenoid valve, and voltage to ensure safe operation. If any issue is detected, the heater automatically shuts off, and a red light on the thermostat flashes to indicate a fault.

Installation
The HS2000E can be supplied with complete installation kits tailored for vehicles or boats. In vehicles and caravans, the unit is usually mounted in a bed box or cupboard, with exhaust gases vented through the floor and out to the side of the vehicle using flexible stainless steel ducts. These ducts are typically 750mm long for vehicles and 1 meter for boats. The ends are finished with neat stainless steel caps that meet EN624 standards. Heat is distributed to one or more outlets using flexible 60mm ducts. In multi-outlet setups, the first outlet is open and adjustable, while the others can be closed and are connected with plastic Y-branches. For marine applications, polished stainless steel fittings are used to pass the exhaust and air intake through the hull. The marine kits also include extra ducting and stainless steel mounting brackets.
