To increase the length of the cabling from the QSTART modem to the control panel, a 2.6 metre extension cable can be used for control panels.
The length of the cabling from the control panel to the modem must not exceed 10 metres.
Note
To connect the QSTART modem to the AUTOTERM Air heater, a 1.8 metre cable to the control panel must be used.
The length of the wiring from the heater to the modem must not exceed 2 metres.
The QSTART modem will not work if the heater is equipped with a PU-22 control panel.
For the QSTART modem to work, the control panel of the heater must be changed to a PU-5, PU-27 or Comfort Control panel.
The Qstart modem fits AUTOTERM air heaters:
-AUTOTERM Air 2D, if connected to control panel PU-5 / PU-27 / Comfort Control
-AUTOTERM Air 4D if connected to control panel PU-5 / PU-27 / Comfort Control
-AUTOTERM Air 8D if connected to control panel PU-5 / PU-27 / Comfort Control
-AUTOTERM Air 9D if connected to control panel PU-5 / PU-27 / Comfort Control
-AUTOTERM Flow 5 (Diesel/Petrol) with serial numbers beginning with "E....", if connected to control panel PU-27 or Comfort Control
-AUTOTERM Flow 14D if connected to a PU-27 or Comfort Control panel
In order to connect the QSTART modem to the AUTOTERM Flow 14D liquid heater, it is necessary to order the modem cable adapter - 3814 additionally.
